England's World Cup Song
i hear that tomorrow's Sun (very cheesy english tabloid for those of you that do not know) will have an 'exclusive' story about Kasabian & Kaiser Chiefs going head to head over England's footy anthem for the next Cup. although Vindaloo by Fat Les will always be my personal fav, i think Kaiser Chiefs should win this fight - they are named after a football team after all!

I'm with you Nikki. I've worn out that Kaiser Chiefs CD and after watching their televised performance from Glastonbury, I think they are the band to come up with a catchy, silly anthem to sing at the next World Cup.
On the subject of footy songs, is there anything worse than the song which is played after the USA scores a goal? That is so cheesy. We need a band to record something with a little more oomph. Something that the fans will sing without prompting from a loud speaker.
I'm not a real big fan but I think the Black Crows could do something like that. What do you think Nikki?
We do need a better song! I would like a band who are actually fans of the sport..... do we know of any american bands who are?
For the US song - let's get Weezer. River is a huge footy fan.
For the UK what about the Gorillaz?
oh elisa! you wouldn't want gorillaz! damon is a hard-core chelsea supporter! ;-)
Good point Elisa. Weezer knows how to write catchy, easy to sing songs. They'll be touring next month with Kaiser Chiefs. Maybe they'll kick the idea around?
Gorillaz and Chelsea. Ugh! I guess we need to stick with Come on Eileen, I mean England.
